The BsE logo is an open hand: as in when we extend our welcome to your visit. The thumb and palm together form a stylized letter 'B' for Bokeo (Province) and BsE. The hand is also a symbol for hand-made products and self-started initiatives—creative ideas that are materialized through skillful hands. At BsE, we promote locally produced organic products and small-and-medium enterprises (SME). We highly treasure traditional knowledge, livelihood skills and reward creativity. It is our belief that fate is nowhere else but in your hands!

And perhaps you wonder: why on earth a little café tucked in the mountains in Laos is named after the sound of a cow, MOOooo… but before you puzzle yourself, how about considering this question: do you know what 'moo' means in Lao?

'Moo', pronounced long and flat, is Lao for 'friends'. It is a simple and fun word to say and hopefully hard to forget!
